Given:

The diameter of a sphere is 3.5 cm

Concept used:

Total surface area = 4πr2

Here r = radius

Calculation:

Total surface area = 4 × 22/7 × (3.5/2)2

⇒ 4 × 22/7 × 12.25/4

⇒ 22/7 × 12.25

⇒ 38.5

∴ The total surface area of the sphere is 38.5 cm2.
