Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
A is 95% of B
Concept Used:
x% of y = (x/100) × y
y% of x = (y/100) × x
Calculation:
According to the question, we have
A is 95% of B,
⇒ A = (95/100)B
⇒ A/B = 19/20
⇒ B/A = 20/19
⇒ A = (19B/20)
Now, Required % = [B/(19B/20)] × 100
⇒ 105(5/19)%
105(5/19) per cent of A is B.
Alternate Method
According to the question
Let the value of B = 100
So, the value of A = 95 [ ∵ A is 95% of B ]
Now, We have to find what per cent of A is B
?% of A = B
⇒ (?/100) × 95 = 100
⇒ ? = (100 × 100)/95
⇒ ? = 105(5/19)%
