தூரம் = 540கிமீ, மெதுவாக செல்லும் காரின் வேகம் = 90கிமீ/ம, விரைவாக செல்லும் கார், மெதுவாக செல்லும் காரை விட 1 மணி நேரம் குறைவான வேகத்தில் சென்று அந்த தொலைவை அடைகிறது.
சூத்திரம்:
தொலைவு = வேகம் × காலம்
கணக்கீடு
மெதுவாக செல்லும் கார் எடுத்துக் கொண்ட நேரம் = தொலைவு/வேகம்
⇒ காலம் = 540/90 = 6 மணி நேரம்
∴ விரைவாக செல்லும் கார் 5 மணி நேரத்தில் அந்த தொலைவைக் கடக்கிறது.
∴ வேகம் = 540/ 5 = 108 கிமீ/ம
