RPF SI Salary Slip

The RPF SI Salary Slip is a document released by the Railway Protection Forces (RPF) for all RPF employees. Just like other organizations, each time the salary is credited, the candidates will receive a salary slip. 

• The RPF SI salary slip includes basic information such as the basic wage, gross salary, net salary, and deductions.
• As every authority provides salary slips to their employees, the RPF provides salary slips for each payment cycle.
• This document is important or is commonly used for requesting loans, receiving income tax benefits, proving employment, and so on.

RPF SI Salary Per Month

The per month salary of an RPF SI ranges from Rs. 43,000 to Rs. 52,000/– depending upon their place of posting. This inclusive salary amount comprises basic pay, grade pay, DA, HRA, and other applicable allowances. As basic pay is Rs. 35,400 according to the 7th CPC pay matrix, the other allowances add up substantially to the CTC. 

For instance, an SI posted in metropolitan cities gets around 25% HRA, which is around Rs. 8,850. Besides, they also receive DA at a current rate of 34% amounting to Rs. 12,056. Other allowances like transport allowance, uniform allowance, etc. add another Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 7,000 to their CTC. Thus, after-tax deduction, the gross RPF SI salary per month, ranges between Rs. 43,000 to Rs. 52,000. The RPF SI in-hand salary, therefore, can be calculated with the following formula –

RPF SI In-Hand Salary = Basic Pay + DA + HRA + Other Allowances – Deductions

RPF SI Grade Pay

The grade pay of RPF Sub Inspector is an important component that determines their salary structure and perks. 

• According to the 6th Pay Commission recommendations, the grade pay assigned to RPF SI was Rs. 4200. 
• With this grade pay, the salary was calculated in the pay band of Rs. 9300 - Rs. 34800. 
• However, after the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, the grade pay system was discontinued. Now, the RPF SI starts at the basic pay level of Rs. 35400 (Level-6) as per the 7th CPC pay matrix.

Besides basic pay, they also get other benefits like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance, which get added to their CTC. The grade pay and pay band help in deciding salaries as well as career growth of RPF SI via promotions to the next grades of Inspector, Circle Inspector, and so on in the organization.

RPF SI Job Profile

As an RPF Sub Inspector, you will be working as frontline staff and have to handle the anti-social elements, give security to the passengers, and ensure the travel of passengers is safe and smooth.

• They are responsible to investigate crime, interrogate the concerned person, arrest offenders, gather evidence, note statements of the witnesses, file cases in the court.
• They are responsible for protecting the signaling equipment and look after the Indian railway tracks.
• They should regularly coordinate with all the other departments for improving the work and efficiency of the Indian Railways.
• An SI is also responsible to synchronize all the activities between the Local Police, Government Railway Police, and the railway administration
