- अकबराने शेख सलीम चिश्ती यांच्यासाठी फतेहपुर सीकरी येथील भव्य शुक्रवार मशिदीच्या शेजारी पांढर्‍या संगमरवरी समाधीचे काम सुरु केले.
- मशिदीला जामा मशिद म्हणूनही ओळखले जाते.
- या थडग्याचा प्रवेशद्वार बुलंद दरवाजा (विजयाचा दरवाजा) म्हणून ओळखला जातो.
- अकबरच्या गुजरातवरील विजयाच्या स्मरणार्थ ते इसवी सन पूर्व 1602 मध्ये बांधण्यात आला होता.
- बुलंद दरवाजा हा जगातील सर्वात उंच प्रवेशद्वार आहे आणि तो मुघल स्थापत्यकलेचे एक उदाहरण आहे.
- 1571 मध्ये अकबर बादशहाने मुगल साम्राज्याची राजधानी म्हणून फतेहपुर सीकरी हे शहर स्थापले होते.
