Saudi Arabia has recently introduced a new set of reforms to the Kafala system, altering the dynamics of job mobility for foreign workers in the country. The old system, which required workers to seek the permission of their employers before they could change jobs, has been amended. Now, under the new system, foreign workers are able to transfer to a different job once their work contracts have expired without needing any permission from their previous employers.
