Formula

Average = total sum of all values/No. of values.

A % B = A/B × 100

Solution

Let the total number of students qualified in 2020 be 100x.

⇒ 12x = 90

⇒ x = 7.5

The number of students qualifying from Schools E = 18x = 135

The number of students qualifying from Schools G = 12x = 90

⇒ 135 + 90 = 225

Let the total number of students qualified in 2021 be 100y.

⇒ 15y = 135

⇒ y = 9

The number of students qualifying from School B in 2021 = 8y = 72

⇒ 225/72 × 100 = 312.5%

The number of student qualifying from Schools E and G together in 2020 is 312.5% of the number of students qualifying from School B in 2021.
