With lakhs of candidates appearing every year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) puts several rules in place to keep things smooth and fair for the upcoming National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). One such rule is about the dress code. It might seem minor, but it can actually make or break your exam day experience.

NEET Dress Code for Muslim Female
NTA has allowed the customary religious attire for muslim female candidates. This permission comes with certain terms and conditions, female candidates must have mentioned or selected the customary dress code while filling the NEET 2025 application form. Is Normal Jeans Allowed in NEET?
Yes, NTA allows the candidates to wear jeans during the NEET exam. The condition is, the jeans should be plain without any patterns or multiple pockets. It should be of light colour. Thus, students can come in jeans and normal t-shirt for smooth entry. Also, this will help you feel comfortable during hot day.
What if You Don't follow NEET Dress Code?
There could be serious conciquences of not following the NEET dress code. The candiates might face following actions:
- You may not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
- You might be asked to change your clothes or remove some items.
- You could lose exam time during checking.
- You may be checked more strictly.
- In serious cases, you may get disqualified.
Thus, you should follow the prescirbed dress code irrespective of your beliefs and other factors.
- Boys should wear light half-sleeve shirts and simple trousers (no jeans, no pockets, no full sleeves).
- Girls should wear simple clothes (no full sleeves, no designs, no jewelry, no makeup).
- Wear only slippers or sandals, not shoes.
- Religious clothes are allowed but you must come early for checking.
- Always follow the instructions on the admit card.
