• The JPSC Civil Services Exam results were initially slated for release in August 2024. However, the sudden retirement of Chairperson Dr. Mary Neelima Kerketta in the same month led delay in results.
• The appointment of retired IAS officer L. Khiangte as the new Chairperson on February 27, 2025, raised hopes for a speedy resolution, but the results remained pending for over two months. Despite assurances from the JPSC Chairman to a delegation that results would be announced soon, candidates launched a hunger strike due to the lack of a specific timeline.
• The recruitment process, which began with the notification in January 2024, has been ongoing for over a year, with the prelims results declared on April 22 in the same year.

After the Commission has declared the mains exam, candidates will have to check the merit list to see if they have passed the written exam or not. The candidates who are shortlisted after the written exam will be called for the interview round, followed by the document verification round.
