The National Testing Agency conducts the NTA UGC National Eligibility Test on behalf of the University Grants Commission. UGC NET Manipuri Exam Pattern 2025
The NTA administers the UGC NET examination through a computer-based test (online mode). There are two papers in the examination - Paper 1 and Paper 2. The total duration of the examination is 3 hours and there is no break between the two papers. Questions in paper 1 will be asked in English and Hindi languages whereas questions in paper 2 will be asked in the Manipuri language. The exam pattern must be known to the candidates along with the UGC NET Manipuri syllabus.

UGC NET Manipuri Marks Distribution
In the UGC NET Manipuri examination, only multiple choice questions will be asked in both Paper 1 (General Paper on Teaching and Research Aptitude) and Paper 2 (Manipuri). A total of 150 questions will be asked, each of which will carry a mark of 2. Candidates marking the right answers will get 2 marks for each of the right ones. There won’t be any negative marking for the wrong answers whereas, for the unanswered questions, zero marks will be awarded.

UGC NET Manipuri Minimum Qualifying Marks
The minimum qualifying marks in the UGC NET Manipuri examination for the general category candidates is 40% marks in both papers taken together. The same for the SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates is 35% marks in both papers taken together. Upon securing the qualifying marks, a candidate becomes eligible to apply for the roles of JRF and Assistant Professor.
