The National Testing Agency (NTA), on behalf of the University Grants Commission conducts the UGC National Eligibility Test i.e. the UGC NET. It is conducted twice a year for 82 different subjects. UGC NET Kannada Exam Pattern 

The UGC NET Kannada examination will be conducted in online mode i.e. it will be a computer-based test. There will be 2 papers namely, General Paper on Teaching and Research Aptitude (Paper 1) and Kannada (Paper 2). Paper 1 is compulsory for all aspirants and there will be 50 questions in that paper. In paper 2, there will be a total of 100 questions. The total duration of the examination will be 3 hours.

UGC NET Kannada Marks Distribution

According to the UGC NET Kannada syllabus, a total of 150 questions will be asked in the examination - 50 from paper 1 and 100 from paper 2. Questions from both papers will carry 2 marks each and thus the total marks of the UGC NET Kannada examination will be 300. There will be no negative marking for the wrong answers. Moreover, no marks will be awarded for the unattended questions.

UGC NET Kannada Minimum Qualifying Marks

The aspirants need to get the minimum qualifying marks for UGC NET Kannada examination to be eligible to apply for the posts of JRF and Assistant Professor. The minimum qualifying mark for the General category candidates is 40% and for the SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates, the minimum qualifying mark is 35%. These marks are inclusive of both papers. In order to achieve the minimum qualifying marks, aspirants need to have a thorough knowledge of the UGC NET Kannada syllabus before they start to prepare.
