What is Operating System in Computer?

  • Motherboard: The motherboard is the main circuit board of the computer system. It provides the physical and electrical connections between the CPU, memory, storage devices, input/output devices, and other components. The motherboard also contains essential components such as the chipset, expansion slots, and connectors.
  • Power Supply Unit (PSU): The power supply unit is responsible for supplying electrical power to the components of the computer system. It converts alternating current (AC) from the power outlet into direct current (DC) used by the computer's internal components.
  • Expansion Cards: Expansion cards are optional components that can be added to a computer system to enhance its capabilities. Common types of expansion cards include graphics cards (GPU), sound cards, network interface cards (NIC), and storage controller cards.
  • Cooling System: The cooling system helps dissipate heat generated by the computer's components, such as the CPU and GPU. It typically consists of fans, heat sinks, and thermal paste to prevent overheating and maintain optimal operating temperatures.

Binary System in Computers

In computers, the binary system is a numbering system that uses only two digits: 0 and 1. It is the foundation of digital computing and is used to represent and process information in electronic devices. In the binary system, each digit (bit) represents a power of 2, with the rightmost digit representing 2^0 (1), the next digit to the left representing 2^1 (2), then 2^2 (4), 2^3 (8), and so on.
