गणना:
माना क्रय मूल्य 100x है।
अब, 20% हानि के बाद विक्रय मूल्य = 100x × (100 – 20)% रुपये
⇒ 80x रुपये
और, 5% लाभ के बाद विक्रय मूल्य = 100x × (100 + 5)% रुपये
⇒ 105x रुपये
प्रश्न के अनुसार ⇒
80x = 4,00,000 रुपये
