Answer (Detailed Solution Below)
Detailed Solution
Download Solution PDFGiven:
Old age home + An orphanage + Foundations for medical help = 17% + 17% + 17% = 51%
Calculation:
Let the total savings amount be 100x
The remaining amount of deposit in the bank = Rs.9800
⇒ 100x × (100 - 51)% = 9800
⇒ 49x = 9800
⇒ x = 200
The total savings amount = 100 × 200 = Rs. 20,000
50% → Rs.20,000
100% → Rs. 40000
∴ The salary of Gokul is Rs. 40,000
