NEST 2025 Application Form: Check Registration Process, Fee Details & More!

The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) has started the online application process from 17th February 2025. The NEST Online application process will close at May 9, 2025. The NEST exam application form should be filled out on time and with utmost care. The NEST is a national-level entrance test conducted by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, and the University of Mumbai. The details mentioned in the application form should be correct to avoid the rejection of the form. The application form should be filled out online.

NEST Application Fee 

Application fees for the NEST 2022 can only be paid online. Applicants can submit their NEST exam application fees through payment portals for credit cards, debit cards, and net banking. The details are mentioned in the table given below:

How to Fill the NEST Application Form?

The application form was released on 17th February 2025. The candidates can register themselves through their mobile number and email ID on the admission portal. Follow the given below steps to fill out the application form:

Step 1: NEST Registration Process

• Visit the official website and click on the application form tab
• Enter the details like date of birth, name, class 10th roll number, mobile number, etc.
• Click on the register tab
• Candidates will receive the user ID and password on their registered mobile number and email ID along with the link for the login page.

Step 2: Login

• Click on the mobile number and email address link.
• Enter the user ID and password received through the email or SMS.
• Click on the ‘login’ tab.

Step 3: Personal Details and Educational Qualification

• The personal information about candidates, such as date of birth, roll number, name of the candidate, registration number, mobile number, and email ID, will be prefilled in the application form.
• No editing is allowed in the personal details section.
• In case of any wrong details filled in the application form, candidates can write to nest2025helpdesk@gmail.com or call 022-61306277 with a user ID, registration number, and applicant’s name
• Candidates can select upto a maximum of five exam centers from the available list. After selecting the exam centers, click on the ‘Save and Next’ tab.

Step 4: Upload Photograph and signature

• Click on the ‘Click here to upload’ to upload the scanned image and photograph.
• Then, upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature in the required specifications.
• The photograph must necessarily have a white background and should not be more than six months old from the date of application.

Step 5: Application Fee Payment

• After filling out the application form, pay the application fee via credit card, debit card or net banking.
• Once the payment is processed, candidates are directed to a declaration page where they have to click on the ‘I Agree’ tab.

NEST Exam Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility has also been released along with the application form. The candidates should check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. The eligibility criteria may differ. Check the given below details for eligibility criteria:

Age Criteria 

Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories should be born on or after August 1, 2003, in order to fulfill the NEST eligibility criteria. Age limit relaxation of five years is given to candidates belonging to SC/ST/Divyangjan category.

Educational Qualifications

Check the educational qualifications given below before applying for the NEST Exam:

Nationality

The candidates must be citizens of India. NRI students, PIO, or OCI candidates are not eligible to apply for the NEST 2025 exam. Candidates from J & K, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana states have a quota of 15%.

Important Documents Required to fill the form NEST exam

The following papers should be reviewed by students who intend to submit an application for the NEST exam 2025, and they should have them available when completing the forms.

• Valid email ID and mobile number
• Digital copy of passport size photograph (size limit max: 80 kb)
• Scanned signature (size limit max: 80 kb)
• 10thand 12th class mark sheets
• Category certificate (for reserved category candidates)

Do’s

• Candidates must double-check all the information they have submitted before submitting their application in its entirety.
• Give precise facts such as your phone number, email address, and address.
• For further communication with the authorities, every detail is crucial as the NEST office only communicates with candidates through this e-mail ID. 
• The phone number that is provided during the application should be accessible by the candidate. The NEST office uses this phone number to reach a candidate or to send SMS messages whenever necessary.

 Don'ts

• If you don't pay online, you can't submit your fees. Do not hit the refresh or back buttons while paying the charge; if you do, your payment could not be regarded as successful.
• Don't fill incorrect test centers. Under no circumstances will the center that has already been assigned be modified.
• Applications incomplete in any respect will not be accepted
• A properly scanned and cropped recent passport-sized photograph should be uploaded. A properly scanned and cropped signature should be uploaded.
