The Mighty Brontosaurus

The Brontosaurus is a type of sauropod dinosaur that roamed the Earth during the Late Jurassic period. This herbivorous dinosaur had a small head, a long and thin neck, and a long tail. Additionally, its hind legs were longer than its forelegs.

This genus includes three separate species: B.excelsus, B.parvus , and B.yahnahpin .

The Towering Brachiosaurus

The Brachiosaurus , another sauropod dinosaur from the late Jurassic period, stands out because of its massive size. Like the Brontosaurus, it was a herbivore with a long, thin neck. However, its forelegs were longer than its hind legs, resulting in a steeply inclined trunk. It also had a shorter tail compared to the Brontosaurus.

One of the most well-known species of this genus is the Brachiosaurus altithorax , which was identified by Riggs in 1903.

The word ‘sauropod’ means ‘lizard-footed’. Sauropoda is a clade of dinosaurs. They usually have a small head attached to a long, slender neck. This clade includes plant-eating dinosaurs like the Brontosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Apatosaurus and Diplodocus.

Tyrannosaurus were carnivorous dinosaurs that fed on juvenile sauropods and hadrosaurs. The well-known species of tyrannosaur was T-rex. Most Tyrannosaurus had a massive skull, which was balanced by their short body and long tail. They could grow up to 40 feet in length (comparatively shorter than the sauropods).
