The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) is a state level entrance exam conducted by the JCECE Board. The JCECE 2022 will be conducted for the candidates seeking admission in various UG Courses at various Govt. and Private colleges across the state. Qualified candidates will get admission in various degree courses like B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering), B.Sc. Agriculture, B.V.Sc & Animal Husbandry etc. The JCECE application form was released in April 2022 through online mode only.

• Incomplete or wrong applications are liable to be rejected. The examination fee deposited will not be refunded in such cases.
• Applicant’s eligibility is purely provisional and is subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Board
• Candidates must bring their own JCECE admit card and relevant ID proof when appearing for the JCECE
• In case examination is conducted in more than one sitting/Batch, Scoring will be done on the normalisation process. Merit List will be based on equated scores.

What is the JCECE?

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) is a state level entrance exam conducted by the JCECE Board. The exam will be conducted for the candidates seeking admission in various UG Courses at various Govt. and Private JCECE colleges across the state.

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board was constituted under Section 85 of Bihar Re-Constituted Act, 2000 by the Govt. The Government of Jharkhand has assigned the responsibility of conducting entrance tests for admission into various Institutions in the state. The online test is the first criteria to get in the merit list and then counseling with two rounds will take place.

JCECE Eligibility Criteria 2022

The eligibility criteria is a must thing to see before applying for the courses. The candidates who want to pursue the courses offered by JCECE have to start right after passing Class 12th by taking the entrance test for JCECE 2022. Besides, the eligibility criteria for each course is as under:

Educational Qualification

The JCECE educational qualifications can vary from course-wise. There are certain common educational qualifications. The candidates need to check if they are eligible to fill the form or not. Check the educational qualification for the following courses:

Age Criteria

The age criteria is the lower and upper age limit criteria for the candidates. The candidates should check it carefully course-wise. Look at the given below table for age criteria:

Number of Attempts

There is no mention of a limited number of attempts in the official notification. The candidates can give unlimited attempts. It is conducted once a year. 

Nationality

The nationality of the appearing candidates should be Indian and they should be local residents of Jharkhand with a proof of domicile certificate. The candidates can also use the domicile of their parents. This is the required criteria for the candidates.

Reservation 

JCECE reservation 2022 shall be considered during the JCECE counseling. The candidates should procure a local resident certificate issued by proper authority. Check the given table for reservation policy:

Medical Fitness / Physical Criteria

The selected candidates will undergo a medical checkup by the Board and only medically fit candidates shall be eligible for admission.

JCECE 2022 Selection Process

The selection process is the important process which a candidate must know before applying. The candidates must follow the process. They should clear the entrance test first to get the name in the merit list for further counseling.

Online Test

The online test consists of objective types of questions. The exam duration is 150 minutes for 150 questions for PCM/PCB group and 200 questions in 200 minutes for PCMB group. This is the first stage that a candidate must clear. They should check the eligibility criteria first before applying.

Counseling Process 

The candidates who have secured minimum number of marks will get the chance to get a rank in the merit list. The named candidates of merit lists will get the chance to sit for the counseling process. The counseling process will take place in online mode and in two rounds.

JCECE 2022 Registration Process

The registration involves filling out some details carefully by the candidates. The application form has not been released by the authority. It will be available online soon. They need to follow following procedures:

Step 1. Visit the official JCECE website and proceed for the application

Step 2. Fill in the personal details and aadhar digit to proceed

Step 3. Mention your academic and communication details

Step 4. Choose a password and a security question to create an account and submit the information

JCECE 2022 Application Process

The application process involves filling out some details carefully by the candidates. They need to follow following procedures:

Step 1. Note down the generated application form number and log in again

Step 2. Upload scanned images of passport size photo, signature and left hand thumb impression in JPEG format.

Step 3. Pay the application fee in online mode on the basis of your category

Step 4. Submit the application form and keep a printout for the same.

JCECE 2022 Application Fee

After submitting all the information, examination fee can be remitted through Payment Gateway through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking/UPI. Service charge will be borne by the Applicant on using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking/UPI. 

Fees once paid will not be carried forward to a future Examination. Online applications and/or their confirmation of submission received after the due date will not be entertained and examination fee will not be refunded in such cases. JCECE 2022 Syllabus

The JCECE syllabus is based on the syllabus of classes XI and XII for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and Biotechnology. Given below are the detailed syllabus for the subjects in JCECE Syllabus: 

JCECE Paper Pattern

JCECE Paper Pattern will be 3 group-wise Papers- Physics & Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology/ Biotechnology. JCECE Pattern includes multiple-choice objective-type questions. Each section in JCECE will have 50 multiple-choice questions with 4 options. You can either appear in English or Hindi for JCECE 2022. In the case of any ambiguity in the translation of the exam, the English version will be considered final. Check the given table for more details:

JCECE 2022 Admit Card

Candidates are advised to download their JCECE admit cards from the official website of JCECE. They have to enter the ID and password to get the admit card. The authority doesn’t send any call letters to candidates through post or any other physical means. Follow the given steps to download the admit card:

Step 1. Visit the official website of JCECE

Step 2. Click on the link “Download JCECE 2022 Admit Card”

Step 3. Fill in the required information such as Registration ID and date of birth in the provided blank fields

Step 4. Click on the “Submit” button

Step 5. Take a printout of the required documents for future reference

JCECE Centres

The candidates need to select a centre during the JCECE registration process. Candidates appearing for JCECE 2022 during the time of registration/application can choose any one of the exam centres from the list given below.

Documents Required at Exam Centers

Candidates must mandatorily carry a hard copy of the admit card. Additionally, candidates must carry a photocopy of the ID proof along with the original copy. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to sit in the exam hall. The candidate have to bring following documents at the exam centre:

• Admit card along with the 2 ballpoint pens
• Any electronic gadget like calculators, digital watches, cell phones or geometry boxes, log tables, slide rules etc. are banned inside the examination hall.
• ID proof

JCECE 2022 Result

JCECE results will be released on the official website after the examination has been conducted. The board will prepare the combined and category-wise merit list on the basis of marks secured by the candidate. Follow the given steps to check the result:

Step 1. Visit the official website 

Step 2. After clicking on the link, you will be redirected to the result page on the board website.

Step 3. Go to the ‘Result Column’ and select your exam.

Step 4. Enter the roll number and click on the ‘Search’ button.

Step 5. The result will display on your computer screen.

Step 6. Download your result and click on the print button.

Step 7. Keep extra printouts of results for further process.

JCECE Counseling 2022

Computerised Distributed Parallel/Online Counselling would be conducted by the Board. Information for counselling would also be available on the Board's website. Candidates placed in the Merit List are advised to read the counselling information bulletin carefully and understand the course of action to be taken by them for appearing in the counselling. They have to pay counseling fees. The counseling is conducted in 2 rounds:

1st Round of Counselling

During counselling, candidates will be allowed to select Institute and Course on Merit-Cum-Choice at his/her Merit order, only after scrutiny of all the required original certificates/documents and satisfying his/her identity.

2nd Round of Counselling

If seats remain vacant after admission of recommended candidates during the first round of counselling, a second round of counselling will be held. In this counselling, Candidates who have been admitted through 1st round of counselling may also participate to change their Course and/or Institute. Other procedures will remain the same as mentioned above.

Important Points About JCECE 2022

There are certain guidelines released by the authority. These guidelines need to be taken care of while appearing for the examination. Follow the given guidelines:

• Candidates are advised not to use any unfair means of taking the exam.
• No eatables are allowed during the exam.
• The candidates should reach 30 minutes before the exam
• They must carry the admit card with them
