HSSC Municipal Engineer Exam: Scribe Information

Candidates with benchmark disabilities in the category of blindness, locomotor disability (both arm affected-BA) and cerebral palsy, the scribe will be allowed if so desired by the candidate. 

The scribe must have at least a matriculation qualification if the minimum qualification required for the post is 10+2. If the minimum qualification required for the post is graduation or higher, the scribe must have at least a matriculation or 10+2 qualification.

The scribe will be given 20 minutes extra per hour of examination, and no other person besides the scribe will be allowed inside the exam hall. A photocopy of the ID proof of the scribe, signed by both the candidate and the scribe, will be submitted at the time of the written exam and subsequent stages of the examination.

HSSC Municipal Engineer Exam Pattern and Selection Process 2023

Candidates applying for the job post of Municipal Engineer in HSSC will undergo two selection stages. Those who score more than the HSSC Municipal Engineer Cut Off marks in the written test will be called for the next round. Candidates will be judged based on the below points:

• All questions shall be compulsory
• An OMR based exam will be held
• There shall be no negative marking
• Each question shall carry 0.975 marks
• The candidate has to fill one option compulsory out of five options given. Extra minutes shall be given to mark the fifth option, if the candidate does not know the answer.
• The duration of the exam will be (100+5) = 105 minutes.
• In case of an unattempted answer, 0.975 marks shall be deducted.
