• The minimum passing score for the entrance exam is 35%. (i.e. 53 out of 150). For SC/ST/Physically Handicapped applicants, the minimum passing score will be 30%. (45 out of 150). 
• After the exam is conducted successfully, the authorities release the result of the examination following the merit list for each category and stream. 
• The admission into the colleges will further happen through the counseling. 

HPU B.Ed 2023 Counseling Details

Since Himachal Pradesh University has already announced the results of the HPU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2022, all of the shortlisted students are anxiously awaiting the start of HPU B.Ed 2022 Counseling. • The session will still take place if the qualifying exam results are not made public on the day of counseling.
• No applicant will be admitted based on anything other than the results of the aforementioned entrance exam. The merit of the B.Ed. Entrance Test will be used to determine admission to all government/private self-financing educational institutions/colleges.
• Before admitting candidates, the Counseling Committee and the Principals/Management of the relevant educational institutions, as applicable, will rigorously determine their ultimate eligibility in accordance with the prospectus conditions.
• Each candidate will compete in their respective categories and subcategories against the others. If candidates from restricted categories are chosen for unreserved seats based on their overall merit, the seats reserved for those categories will not be filled.
• "If a student chooses to withdraw from the programme of study in which he or she is enrolled, the institution concerned shall follow the following five-tier structure for the return of tuition remitted by the student," according to an October 2018 University Grants Commission announcement.

Documents Required During Counseling 

If the applicant passed the examination, they can enter the counseling process. As part of the HPU B.Ed. the institution requires the candidate's original documents as well as the counseling fee to move further.

1. Print of the online application form
2. A genuine Himachali certificate issued by the Tehsildar or Executive Magistrate in the relevant district.
3. Candidates from states other than Himachal Pradesh must also present a genuine or residency certificate from their home state, which must be signed by the relevant Tehsildar or Executive Magistrate.
4. A recommendation letter from the candidate's most recent institution, if there was no educational gap. Candidates with a year or more of education gaps must provide the most recent character certification from the affected area's Tehsildar or SDM.
5. The admit card for the 2023 B.Ed. entrance exam, which is available for download on the university's website.
6. A certificate from the relevant Tehsildar or SDM stating that the girl is a single child.
7. At the time of counseling, the candidate must pay a counseling fee of Rs. 200.
8. Submit an application for admission to one of the Reserved Categories.
9. Matriculation certificate, or an equivalent qualification.
10. Certificates of completion of the BA, B.Sc., B.Com. (Part I, II, and III), MA, M.Sc., M.com, Bachelor of Engineering/Technology, or equivalent examinations, in addition to a degree in the relevant field.

HPU B.Ed Eligibility Criteria 2023

The exam eligibility requirements are established by Himachal Pradesh University's official authorities. Before submitting an application for the exam, the applicant must ensure that they are eligible. The following are the various standards:

• To take the entrance exam, they must be Indian citizens.
• For candidates who are OBC, SC, or ST, the qualifying mark will be reduced by 5%.
• Candidates who have taken the qualifying exam but have not yet received their results are still welcome to apply.

Restrictions on Age: There is no upper age limit for applicants to the 2-year regular B.Ed programme.

HPU B.Ed Educational Qualification 2023

• In the Bachelor's degree programme, they must receive at least 50% of the possible points (medical, non-medical, business, or arts).
• Candidates must have a master's degree in engineering, social sciences, science, or humanity with a minimum GPA of 50%.
• A science concentration with a 55 percent grade in mathematics and technology.
• SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates must score at least 45 percent on the qualifying exam.
• Candidates who complete the final semester of the qualifying exam are also eligible to take the entrance exam.
• Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 50 percent (or 45 percent for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped applicants) in their Bachelor's degree (Medical/Non-Medical/Commerce/Arts) or Master's degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity, or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (OR); Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics, with a minimum GPA of 55 percent (or 50 percent for SC/ST/OBC/Phy)
• Under no circumstances will the above-mentioned percentage of marks be waived by even 0.01 percent.
• You can also apply for the B.Ed. Entrance Test if you took the final exam for a bachelor's degree, master's degree, bachelor of engineering or technology, or any other qualification comparable to it and the results have not yet been released.

HPU B.Ed Exam Pattern 2023

The five sections in the HPU B.Ed. 2023 Exam Pattern are general awareness, language and comprehension, logical reasoning, knowledge of national commissions and committees on education, and teaching aptitude and attitude.
