Phase 1: Preliminary Examination

The prelims is the first qualifying stage and is objective in nature.

• Exam Format: Multiple-choice objective-type questions
• Total Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 2 hours
• Marking Scheme: +1 for each correct answer, –0.25 for each wrong answer
• Qualifying Nature: Only qualifying for shortlisting to mains

Phase 2: Main Examination

Candidates who clear the prelims are called for the Main Examination, which is descriptive and comprises three papers:

• General Hindi is qualifying in nature (minimum 30 marks required).
• General Knowledge Papers I and II will decide the merit.
• Papers will be subjective with essay, precis, and long-form questions.

Phase 3: Document Verification (DV)

After clearing the mains, candidates are called for the final phase: Document Verification. This stage confirms the authenticity of details submitted in the application.

Salary Structure:

• Pay Level: Level 7 (₹44,900–₹1,42,400)
