Phase 1: Preliminary Examination
The prelims is the first qualifying stage and is objective in nature.
- Exam Format: Multiple-choice objective-type questions
- Total Questions: 100
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 2 hours
- Marking Scheme: +1 for each correct answer, –0.25 for each wrong answer
- Qualifying Nature: Only qualifying for shortlisting to mains

Phase 2: Main Examination
Candidates who clear the prelims are called for the Main Examination, which is descriptive and comprises three papers:

Note:

Phase 3: Document Verification (DV)
After clearing the mains, candidates are called for the final phase: Document Verification. This stage confirms the authenticity of details submitted in the application.
