Greenhouse gas:
- These gases absorb heat energy from earth’s surface and radiate it back to earth’s surface.
- The primary greenhouse gases in Earth's atmosphere are CO2, CH4, water vapour, nitrous oxide, and ozone.
- Greenhouse gases cause the greenhouse effect on earth by increasing the earth’s temperature.
Effect of Greenhouse on vegetation:
- Among all greenhouse gases, CO2 is responsible for 60% of greenhouse gas effect.
- Plants and vegetation utilize CO2 for photosynthesis which provide energy for their growth.
- Greenhouse means increase in amount of CO2 present, so photosynthesis will increase and that will increase vegetation.
