Statement I: Each entry pass holder is allowed to take up to three persons with him or her.

This statement tells us that for each entry pass, a maximum of three other people can accompany the holder. However, it does not tell us how many people actually used each pass.

Thus, Statement I alone is not sufficient.

Statement II: In all, 250 entry passes were sold yesterday.

This statement informs us that 250 entry passes were sold, but it does not tell us how many people actually attended, as the number of accompanying persons per pass is still unknown.

Thus, Statement II alone is not sufficient.

Now,

Togethering both Statement I and Statement II.

Both statements together still do not provide enough information to definitively determine how many visitors attended the trade fair, as we do not know how many people were accompanying each entry pass holder.

Thus,  Data in both the statements together are not sufficient.

Hence, the correct answer is "Option 2".
