Given:

The HCF of the two numbers is 8 and their LCM is 2520.

Formula used:

Product of the two numbers = LCM × HCF

Calculation:

Let the other number be x

56 × x = 2520 × 8

⇒ x = 2520/7

⇒ x = 360

So, the other number is 360

∴ The other number is 360.
