- मेयोसिस हा पेशीविभागाचा एक प्रकार आहे ज्यामध्ये एकल पेशी दोन वेळा विभागून 4 मुली पेशी तयार करते.
- प्रक्रियेनंतर गुणसूत्रांची संख्या अर्ध्यावर कमी झाल्यामुळे मेयोसिसला डिक्शनल विभाजन असेही म्हणतात.
