State diagram:

State diagram is a behavioural model which contains states, actions and transition between states. They are used in object oriented modelling. It tell about the states that an object can visit. It is used to describe the dynamic behaviour of objects and could also be used to describe the entire system behaviour.

Use case diagram:

It displays the relationship among actors and use cases. It describes how external entities interact with the system. A use case is a set of scenarios that describes an interaction between a user and system. Two main components in use case diagram are actor and usecase.

Class diagram:

It describes the structure of a system by showing the system’s classes, their attributes and the relationship among classes. It is used to describe the structural view of the system. It also displays relationships such as containment, inheritance, associations and others.

Activity diagram:

It displays a special state diagram where most of the states are action states and most of the transitions are triggered by completion of the actions in the source states. It is used to show the flow of business process or the logic of an object behaviour.
