Relationships between Propositions:

Types Characteristics
Contradictory
  • A and O, E, and I proposition are contradictory.
  • The truth of an assertion of the form All S are P implies the falsity of the corresponding proposition of the type. Some S are not P.
Contrary
  • A and E propositions are contrary.
  • Propositions are contrary when they cannot both be true.
Sub-contrary
  • I and E propositions are sub-contrary.
  • Propositions are sub-contrary when it is impossible for both to be false.
Sub-alternation
  • A and I, E and O propositions are Sub-alternation.
  • The sub-alternation relation exists between a proposition and the equivalent I proposition.
  • the falsity of an I or O assertion implies, respectively, the falsity of the corresponding A or E proposition.

  • Now, "Some plants are No Carnivorous" is given as false, A is True (Sub-alternation). E is False (Contradictory) and I is (Sub-contrary) True.
  • So, "Some plants are carnivorous" is true, "No plants are carnivorous" is false, and "All plants are carnivorous' is true" is true

Therefore, the correct answer from the options are A, C and D only.
