Given:

Concept used:

1. Final discount percentage after two successive discounts of A% and B% =

2. Selling Price = Marked Price × (1 - Discount%)

Calculation:

Final discount% = 25 + 15 - (25 × 15)/100 = 36.25%

Selling price of the article = 8400 × (1 - 36.25%) = Rs. 5355

Now, profit% = = 33.875% ≈ 34%

∴ The shopkeeper earns 34% profit.
