MDL Trade Apprentice Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025 have been released by the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited through the official recruitment notification. Candidates are advised to download the notification and go through all the details to have a better understanding of the syllabus and exam Pattern. Important details relating to the MDL Trade Apprentice Exam Pattern and Syllabus are as follows: -

• There are three stages in the selection process i.e., the Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by the document verification, trade allotment and then medical examination process to be recruited for the post of MDL Trade Apprentice 2025.
• The Computer Based Test is conducted for a total of 100 marks and is divided into 4 different sections with 25 marks each.
• Only the candidates who score marks equal to or higher than the MDL Trade Apprentice Cut Off will progress to the next stage of the selection process.
• The final selection of candidates is based on the candidate’s performance in the CBT and the medical examination as well as the ability to provide all necessary documents for verification.

Candidates must ensure that they go through all the details mentioned on the official notification before starting their exam preparations. It contains important information as well as guidelines that must be followed by the candidates throughout the MDL Trade Apprentice Selection Process.

MDL Trade Apprentice Exam Pattern 2025

As mentioned earlier, the selection process for these posts consists of three stages. The first of these stages is the CBT followed by the document verification, trade allotment and medical examination. The details of each stage of the selection process are discussed below.

Computer Based Test

For a better performance in the exam, the students are advised to understand the exam pattern properly and only then draft their preparation strategy accordingly.

• The exam duration will be 2 hours.
• The test comprises 100 questions that carry one mark each.
• The questions are divided into 4 different sections.
• Each section has 25 questions each and it varies based on the trade the candidate has applied for.
• For COPA Post, 75 questions will be asked from Trade Test and 25 questions will be asked from GK and English Subjects.

Medical Examination and Document Verification

• All original documents proving Age, Caste, Educational Qualification, Caste Certificate if applicable, certificate of Passing Examination in First Attempt etc. must be provided for verification.
• Candidates who are unable to provide original copies of all the documents will not be allowed to appear for the medical examination.
• The medical examination will be performed by a medical officer of the company.
• Further selection is based on the declaration of fitness by the medical officer.

MDL Trade Apprentice Syllabus 2025

The MDL Trade Apprentice Syllabus 2025 is designed to assess candidates' knowledge and skills relevant to their respective groups. For Group A (10th Class), the syllabus includes English, General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Group B (ITI Pass) covers subjects like Trade Theory, Workshop Calculation & Science, Engineering Drawing, along with English and General Knowledge.
