Nizam-ul-Mulk Asaf Jah (Mir Qamar-ud-Din) or Asaf Jah-I also known as Chin Qilich Qamaruddin Khan was the founder of the Asaf Jahi dynasty and the founder of Hyderabad State.
Hyderabad was founded in 1724 by Nizam-ul-Mulk Asaf Jah .
He was one of the most powerful members of the Mughal emperor Farooq Siyar's court.
He was first given the governorship of Awadh and later the Deccan.
Asaf Jah brought skilled soldiers and administrators from northern India who welcomed new opportunities in the south.
