Teachers are referred to as the transmitters, inspirers, and promoters of man’s eternal quest for knowledge. The status of the teacher reflects the socio-cultural ethos of the society as

• The teacher has to play multiple roles in a teaching-learning it is said that no people can rise above the level of their teachers. process i.e., manager, facilitator, counselor, producer, leader, etc.
• He has to manage all the activities in a classroom that are designed around a learner as the learner is the center of the teaching-learning process.
