Takht-e-Taus, also known as the Peacock Throne, is the world's most expensive throne.

  • It is said about Takht-e-Taus that it was worth more than the Taj Mahal and the world-famous Kohinoor diamond.
  • The Peacock Throne was a famous jeweled throne that was the seat of the emperors of the Mughal Empire in India.
  • It was commissioned in the early 17th century by Emperor Shah Jahan and was located in the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audiences, or Ministers' Room) in the Red Fort of Delhi.
  • It was named after a peacock as two peacocks are shown dancing at its rear.

Thus, we can say that Shah Jahan had Takht-Taus in Diwan-i-Khas.
