Concept

When 'n' resistors are connected in series, the equivalent resistance is given by:

\(R_{eq}=R_1+R_2.........R_n\)

If all resistors are equal, then:

\(R_{eq}=nR\)

When 'n' resistors are connected in parallel, the equivalent resistance is given by:

\({1\over R_{eq}}={1\over R_1}+{1\over R_2}.........{1\over R_n}\)

If all resistors are equal, then:

\(R_{eq}={R\over n}\)

Calculation

Given, n = 10

R = 1 kΩ = 1000 Ω

The given resistors are connected in parallel.

\(R_{eq}={1000\over 10}=100\space Ω\)
