Foundation Bolt

For some machines, it is very essential to hold down the machines firmly on the foundation to prevent them from moving.
For this purpose, various types of foundation bolts or anchor bolts are used.
There are basically four types of Foundation Bolts.

Eye Foundation Bolt	This is the simplest of all types. One end of the bolt is forged into an eye and another bar is placed through the eye. This bolt is used in the machine-shop floor, and then cement concrete is poured around.
Bent Foundation Bolt	This bolt can either be cast directly in the cement concrete or in lead. The latter one is usually employed when machined are to be fixed on stone beds directly.
Rag Foundation Bolt	This bolt consists of a tapered body, square or rectangular in cross-section, the tapered edges being grooved. This bolt can be used in similar lines as that of the bent bolt.
Lewis Foundation Bolt	Lewis bolt is a tapered bolt used as a removable foundation bolt. This type of Foundation Bolt is not commonly used for mountaining machines. It is used for lifting huge blocks of stones.
