Download Solution PDFThe correct answer is option 1):(Data pointer)
Concept:
- The Data Pointer (DPTR) is the 8051's only user-accessible 16-bit (2-byte) register
- The stack pointer in the 8051 is 8-bits wide, and it can take a value of 00 to FFH. When the 8051 is initialized, the SP register contains the value 07H. This means that RAM location 08 is the first location used for the stack.
- The program status word (PSW) register is an 8-bit register, it is also referred to as the flag register
- The Accumulator, as its name suggests, is used as a general register to accumulate the results of a large number of instructions. It can hold an 8-bit (1-byte) value and is the most versatile register the 8051 has due to the number of instructions that make use of the accumulator.
- In 8051 architecture, Data pointer is not an 8 -bit specific feature
