Let a and b two numbers.

AM =  and GM = 

Calculation:

Let, two numbers be a and b,

We know, AM = and GM =

Given that, GM : AM = n : m 

⇒ AM : GM = m : n

Since, on dividing eqn (i) and (ii), we get
