ax + by + λ = 0 है,

गणना:

y = 3x + 1

⇒ 3x - y + 1 = 0

दी गयी रेखा 3x - y + 1 = 0 के समानांतर एक रेखा का समीकरण 3x - y + λ = 0 है। 

यह बिंदु (1, 2) से होकर गुजरती है। 

⇒ (3 × 1) - 2 + λ = 0

⇒ 1 + λ = 0
