US President-elect Donald Trump has vowed to deport illegal migrants, but it seems the process won’t be easy for his administration. Reports suggest that details of the deportation plan have been leaked before its implementation. Given these circumstances, the new administration will review the plan and proceed with caution before putting it into action.
Trump will take the oath on January 20 as the 47th President of the United States. In an interview with NBC News, he stated that his priority would be to deport illegal migrants from the country.
But the President-elect refused to divulge details on which cities are on the target list or when the deportation will begin.
Trump’s key aides are also concerned about the security of officials tasked with deportation. In an interview with the Washington Post, Tom Homan stated that the new administration has not yet decided on the issue and will take action after reviewing leaked reports of a campaign against illegal immigrants living in Chicago.
Homan admitted that he has been receiving death threats since the President-elect spoke to him about the ‘Border Czar.
The President-elect had stated, “Before this, nobody could even think of open borders, prisons, mental institutions, men playing in women’s sports, transgenders for everyone… Very soon we will begin the largest deportation exercise in American history.”
