While speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual summit on Saturday, former US President Donald Trump pledged to restore the controversial travel ban, which targeted seven Muslim-majority countries, if he is re-elected in the White House next year.
During the summit held in Las Vegas, he said, “You remember the travel ban? On day one I will restore our travel ban”. Speaking of, In the year 2017, Donald Trump’s administration issued this order. Under the imposition of this blanket ban, entry of travellers from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Sudan was prohibited, which was notably regarded as “racist” and “discriminatory” by his critics. The ban was later removed when current President Joe Biden took over the reins.
While addressing the gathering, Donald Trump stated that we will keep radical Islamic terrorists away from our country. He further added that the travel ban was an absolute success when it was imposed during this administration.
Donald Trump told the gathering, which included some of the most influential Jewish donors that we never had a single incident in four years because we kept the bad people out of our country.
In response to Trump’s latest comments, a White House Spokesperson Andrew Bates said that Biden was proud to reverse the despicable non-Akerican Muslim ban enacted by his predecessor.
During the Republican Jewish Convention, Trump vowed that when he becomes the President, he will restore peace through force and yes, he will prevent World War III. He said that during the four years of his presidency, he kept America, Israel and the world safe.
Donald Trump also reiterated his support for Israel amid the ongoing war against the Palestinian militant group Hamas. Trump said that if re-elected, he would stand up for our friend and ally in the State of Israel like no one has ever done.
Additionally, he said that the conflict between Israel and Hamas is a war between civilization and barbarism, between decency and decadence, and between good and evil. This statement came fortnight after he sparked a row by regarding Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, which is at loggerheads with the Israeli forces, as “very smart”.
