Israel Drops Leaflets Over Gaza Showing Sinwar’s Body – What Is Netanyahu’s Message To Hamas?

According to the residents of Khan Younis and images shared online, the leaflet stated, "Whoever drops the weapon and hands over the hostages will be allowed to live and leave in peace."

Israeli planes on Saturday reportedly dropped leaflets over southern Gaza featuring a picture of the deceased Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. The message on the leaflet, written in Arabic, said, “Hamas will no longer rule Gaza.” The declaration comes after Israeli strikes killed 33 people and injured over 80 on Friday in North Gaza’s Jabalia city.

This message echoed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement on Thursday after Sinwar was killed by the Israeli military in Rafah, near the Egyptian border.

Reports revealed that the Israeli strikes killed four and wounded 15 others in a bombardment of a house in Jabalia’s al-Tawbah, in a separate attack.

Israel released a drone video on October 18 that showed Sinwar sitting on a couch, gravely injured in a devastated Gaza apartment. The IDF international spokesperson claimed that it was ‘raw footage of Yahya Sinwar’s last moments’ in an X post.

In a message on Saturday, Netanyahu vowed that ‘nothing will deter us’ as Israel pushes forward in its war against Hamas. In a rare video address on Shabbat, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel is committed to winning the war. He said, “We are going to win this war.” However, he did not directly mention the incident.

Hours before Netanyahu’s message, a drone launched from Lebanon struck near his private residence in Caesarea. Though Netanyahu and his wife were not present, the attack caused significant damage to the building.
