Foreign Secretary of India Vikram Misri addressed the media, dismissing Pannun’s claims. He stated that the lawsuit does not change India’s stance on the situation. Misri also noted that Pannun’s group, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), is an “unlawful organization” under India’s Unlawful Activities Prevention Act of 1967 due to its efforts to disrupt India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
