Biden, who left the office in January 2025 after a crushing defeat at the hands of Donald Trump, has an ‘aggressive form’ of cancer that has spread to his bones. According to the statement, Biden sought medical attention following the discovery of a prostate nodule after experiencing worsening urinary symptoms.

His medical tests confirmed that he is suffering from “high-grade cancer with a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5). The release dated May 18 read, “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterised by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.” The statement further reads that the cancer appears hormone-sensitive, which may allow for effective treatment, and that Biden & his family are currently consulting with physicians.

The news of the 82-year-old’s medical condition has since sparked concern among various political leaders and US citizens alike. US President Donald Trump on Sunday expressed his sadness through an X post, stating, “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis.
