In a fiery statement issued on Wednesday, US President Donald Trump lashed out at CNN and the NYT, rejecting news reports that the American strikes failed to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities. He slammed the Western media and claimed they are downplaying, stating that CNN has ‘teamed up’ with The New York Times to demean the US strikes, which he described as ‘historic military success.’
Trump termed their reports as ‘Fake news on ‘Truth Social’ and wrote, “CNN, TOGETHER WITH THE FAILING NEW YORK TIMES, HAVE TEAMED UP IN AN ATTEMPT TO DEMEAN ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL MILITARY STRIKES IN HISTORY. THE NUCLEAR SITES IN IRAN ARE COMPLETELY DESTROYED! BOTH THE TIIMES AND CNN ARE GETTING SLAMMED BY THE PUBLIC!”

Trump reiterated his claim that the Iranian nuclear facilities – Fordow, Natanz, Isfahan- were completely destroyed after the United States hit them with missiles. Meanwhile, he also claimed that both the Western media outlets faced backlash from the citizens.
As per CNN’s findings, the early evaluation from the Pentagon’s Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) suggested that the US strikes only caused a “temporary disruption” and setback to Iran’s nuclear programme. It suggested that the attack did not fully eliminate centrifuges and enriched uranium stockpiles.
Calling the reports ‘flat-out wrong, White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt said, “FAKE NEWS CNN STRIKES AGAIN: This alleged “assessment” is flat-out wrong and was classified as “top secret” but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community. The leaking of this alleged assessment is a clear attempt to demean President Trump, and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear program.”
She further added, “Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000-pound bombs perfectly on their targets: total obliteration.”
