India garnered Russian support

The development comes after an Indian delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi visited Russia and successfully put India’s stance on Operation Sindoor and received support from the Russian side over India’s zero-tolerance policy over terrorism.

Pakistan eyes strategic reset with Russia

The details of the letter are still unknown, but after Operation Sindoor, Pakistan is trying its best to enhance its strategic cooperation with Russia. It is believed that India is monitoring the developments.

“The special assistant handed over a letter addressed to President Vladimir Putin from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif,” the Pakistani Embassy in Moscow was quoted as saying by Russia’s state-run TASS news agency.

‘Pakistan must end terror support’

On the other hand, Dr Amzad Ayub Mirza, a political analyst and human rights advocate from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir based in the UK, has termed the latest charges against India by Pakistani authorities as “baseless and misleading”.

“A classic example of psychological projection by a state long implicated in terrorism across the region,” he said of the accusations.

Dr. Mirza’s remarks came in response to Field Marshal Asim Munir and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to Balochistan, where they accused India of supporting terrorism in Pakistan during talks with tribal elders in Quetta. According to Dr. Mirza, these narratives are outdated and aimed at deflecting attention from Pakistan’s long history of sponsoring terrorism.
