– 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour – 1 cup unsalted butter, softened – 1 cup brown sugar – ½ cup granulated sugar – 2 large eggs – 1 teaspoon peppermint extract – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon baking soda – ½ teaspoon salt – 1 ½ cups chocolate chips – Green food coloring (optional)
Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, peppermint, and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients.
Mix in chocolate chips and a few drops of green food coloring for a festive minty look!
Scoop dough onto a baking sheet. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
