The forest department driver’s action of saving exhausted cheetahs found in Madhya Pradesh caught attention when it surfaced on social media. The touching human-wildlife connection displayed by the driver has resulted in disciplinary actions for him. According to The Times of India, the driver Satyanarayan Gurjar received suspension from his position after the video went online.
The video was shared by an X user, writing, “Offering water or milk to cheetahs by villagers is not a good sign for wildlife conservation. This may lead to dangerous consequences. As usual, the forest is undisturbed.”

The video shows three cheetahs resting near a tree. The driver Gurjar approaches them slowly with a jerrycan, eventually stopping a few feet away to pour water into a steel plate. Off-camera voices can be heard prompting the cheetahs to approach and drink the water provided by Gurjar.
Gurjar performed this exceptional type of interaction with animals just after villagers attacked cheetah Jwala and her four cubs which made his act even more meaningful to viewers. Public praise did not halt forest officials from the Kuno Forest Division who believed his actions broke protocol thus removing Gurjar from his position.
