French YouTuber Victor Blaho warns all international visitors in India that trying long-distance train rides in the country will be dangerous. Victor Blaho learned from firsthand experience to warn others because his 46-hour Indian railway trip affected him negatively. Through his YouTube video, documenting the journey between Mumbai and Varanasi and then from Varanasi to Agra and finally Agra to Delhi Blaho shares his experience. During his train travel through multiple railway compartments from sleeper to third AC class he encountered both positive and negative aspects of Indian Railways.
By the end of the journey, the French YouTuber concluded his experience with Indian trains unfavorably because the negative aspects far outweighed the positives. Victor Blaho presented his railway experience through video documentation of his three trips in his video where he addressed the disorganized nature of life in India first.
The train compartment shown by the YouTuber was filled with passengers while it remained loud inside. So during his travel, the French YouTuber came across both a rat and then shortly after discovered a cockroach resting on the floor. The sightings made him visibly uncomfortable and he remained unable to sleep for 46 hours due to continuous train noise. The combination of scurrying mice crawling insects together with loud conversational noises and continuous human movements would keep me from catching any sleep during that night.
Blaho’s video captures Indian people seeking interactions with him by extending both friendship and photo opportunities. An Indian man forced the French traveler to video call his girlfriend before sharing his relationship details which included both Mumbai and Delhi girls. In the end, he mentioned that he wanted to go home. The YouTuber also mentioned, “I need comfort, I need peace.”
