Viral Video: A shocking case of bribery has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s kaushambi district where a Government official is seen taking bribe from a farmer. A video featuring the Lekhpal, reportedly posted in Bhelkha village of Manjhanpur tehsil, has gone viral across social media platforms. According to reports, the farmer had approached the Lekhpal, identified as Anurag Patel for registering an ancestral property as inheritance.
However, to proceed with the necessary paper work in the name of Section 80, Patel asked the farmer for money. The video, was secretly recorded by the farmer, hailing from Bhelkha village. The now-viral video has prompted strong response from the local authorities. In light of the video, District Magistrate Madhusudan Hulgi ordered immediate action, reports stated. An investigation has been launched into the matter and the authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against the Lekhpal, if found guilty.
