65,000 For Kadak Tea And 50,000 Dong For Water – THIS Indian Restaurant’s Bill Will Leave You Speechless!

This figure may look staggering at first glance, but there's a catch. The price of a Dal Tadka is 115,000 Dong, while a plate of jeera rice costs 77,000 Dong.

Imagine going to a restaurant, ordering food, and getting a bill worth lakhs of rupees. Well, this happened at a restaurant where a 1.5-liter water bottle was priced at 50,000, a tawa roti at 30,000, and a tea worth 65,000. This figure may look staggering at first glance, but there’s a catch. This bill doesn’t belong to an Indian restaurant but rather to an Indian restaurant in Vietnam. The prices aren’t in Indian rupees but in Vietnamese currency ‘Dong’.

Food Bill At The Restaurant

One Vietnamese dong equals 0.0033 Indian Rupees. This means you will get 300 dongs for one rupee. This is the reason why the bill at any Vietnamese restaurant is priced at lakhs. Therefore, the bill of ‘Tadka Indian Restaurant 2’ shown below displays 872,000 Dong for just two people. In Indian rupees, it amounts to Rs 3000. According to reports, the restaurant is located in Vietnam’s Hanoi City. The price of a Dal Tadka is 115,000 Dong, while a plate of jeera rice costs 77,000 Dong.

Strength Of Indian Rupee

These high numerical values are, however, common because of the country currency’s exchange rate. On the other hand, during the month of march, India marked a stronger growth by 2.5% against the dollar. On Friday, the rupee increased by 32 Paise. While such prices may be surprising to many, the currency of foreign countries, particularly Vietnam and Indonesia, shows the real strength of the Indian rupee.

Price Breakdown

A tea costs 65,000 Dong (216 rupees) in this restaurant, while the price of Chicken Chettinad is 177,000 Dong. Meanwhile, Garlic Naan is 60,000 Dong (Rs 200), and a 1.5 liter water bottle is priced at 50,000 Dong (Rs 166). For your information, Vietnamese currency ranks second in the world in terms of cheapest currency, while Iran’s Rial stands at number one position.
