The Ministry of Communications issued a cautionary advisory through the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), urging mobile users to exercise caution when receiving calls on WhatsApp from foreign numbers, including those starting with +92. The advisory, released on Friday, warns users against disclosing any information if they receive calls from individuals posing as government officials threatening to disconnect their mobile numbers due to alleged involvement in illegal activities.
