A slew of recent leaks that had been reported earlier had showcased that the Apple iPhone 17 would have a completely new design than that of the older gen phones. Allegedly Apple would give the new phone a camera bump that would protrude out to help the manufacturers manage space for the new sensors better. Such reports were being taken with a pinch of salt since they were revealed in a leak, but new leaks have revealed the CAD renderings of the new iPhone 17, and as it appears the new phone would have a camera bump at the rear.
The leaks have been reported by Sonny Dickson – he has shared the following images of the new looks of the Apple iPhone 17. The first images showcase the presence of iPhone 17 Air which would be the thinner and lighter flagship variant of the new lineup. Just like that of the pixel, the phone showcases the presence of an elongated horizontal camera module that would sit along the top of the device.

Since the 17 Air would be based on a thinner chassis it would supposedly have a single-lens camera. If that is the case the device would not have the ability to capture spatial video. The phone would possibly have the same 48 mp camera similar to that of the iPhone 16 models.

The new iPhone 17 would feature a seamless transition from glass to metal – following the special glass and metal splicing technique from Apple. Beyond that the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max model, the new design is a complete departure from the older generation designs.
The Phone Would have a triple lens setup towards the left and the flash as well as the LiDAR sensor as well as the Microphone would be placed towards the left of the camera bump.
Beyond these changes, the design for the conventional iPhone 17 would seem most conventional since this one would have a dual camera setup placed towards the right side of the iPhone, bereft of any camera bar. Similar design renderings have been reported by several sources. The lineup is expected to arrive around Apple’s usual mid September time frame.
